Interesting place, but I was expecting more

I was hoping to see more historical exhibits, perhaps an exhibit of what the guest rooms may have looked like back in the day. But there really isn't that much on display at the Queen Mary. There are a few exhibits here and there, but otherwise, the ship doesn't have much to see. Admission is expensive (about $35). The Queen Mary is great to look at from the outside, but I don't think it's worth the price to enter.

One of the great ships of all times.

LA is blessed to have this great ocean vessel in our back yard. We have been lucky to attend parties held here and imagine how regal the voyagers were who were lucky enough to have been passengers in its hey day. We use to have the Spruce Goose along side it but that has sense moved to Oregon. When you come to LA take a visit here and stroll the decks and try to live in the past for a moment.

A Beautiful Ship from a Different Era

Many of us are accustomed to the huge sleek white cruise ships of today that take us on whirlwind vacations to warm destinations. Well, the Queen Mary is a gorgeous ship from a different era. It was built to withstand trans-Atlantic voyages, so the architecture of the ship is much different from the mega-ships of today. I highly recommend a visit to the Queen Mary, and, by all means, take the guided tour--it's well worth the additional cost.
