About
Indie films thrive at Gateway Cinemas, including many gay-themed titles. The movie theater is the oldest in Fort Lauderdale, opened in 1951, and that old-school feel still permeates the lobby and theaters.

Fav place to catch a flick
Without a doubt, Gateway is my favorite place to catch an indie movie. The other patrons are respectful and the popcorn is amazing. It's a little worn down and the seats are off center from the screen... But always a great experience.
