From the Owner
Founded in 1972, the not-for-profit Geva Theatre Center is the most attended regional theatre in New York State, attracting over 160,000 patrons each year. Up to 12 productions are staged each year in a season that runs from September through June on our two stages - The Wilson Stage with a capacity of 520 and the Fielding Stage with a capacity of 180. In both of the stages, no seat is further than 50 feet from the stage providing a truly intimate theatre experience. Geva creates productions in Rochester for Rochester with a full-time staff of 50 building sets, costumes, props, and more. All productions are cast in NYC, Chicago, and/or LA drawing from the best actors in the country. Designers and directors also are selected from among the best in the country.
