Giving Pause

A wonderful museum space devoted to almost totally black (with hints of purples) paintings by renowned US Artist Mark Rothko. A combination of the monochromatic interior and the volume of the space itself provides a contradictory acceleration towards a moment of rest and contemplation. I'm not a "spiritual" person, so seeing it once or twice was enough to get the feel of the place, but well worth a visit.
