About
Twin Peaks Tavern was the first American gay bar with fully open windows, making the statement that being gay didn't mean hiding from the world. Today, an older crowd meets to watch the the busy intersection of Castro and Market outside.

for conversation
Nice place to stop for a drink, and engage in a friendly conversation with someone. Near the center of Castro action.
Great place to experience and watch the Castro
Appropriately deemed "The Galss Coffin", this place is a part of Castro history and is a must-stop at if visiting. Great for people watching and getting a good sniff of delicious next-door Hot Cookie. * * *
