About
The patio here is almost always busy, and for good reason. Georgie's Alibi Monkey Bar in Wilton Manors has been called the Mecca of local gay bars, drawing everyone from tourists to seasonals to resident regulars.
"I've written several reviews of the Alibi before, so one might think my opinions vary, but bars and restaurants change often, so my reviews reflect those updates."
Food is a serious draw, notably the award-winning Champ and Knock Out burgers. Liquor sales here are rumored to match all other area bars combined. The crowd skews mixed across ages, and staff are consistently friendly. Thursday is Long Island Iced Tea night, a local favorite.

When I lived in Wilton Manors, Georgie's Alibi was my go-to bar. The guys I met were nice and the bartenders were very friendly. I would recommend this bar to anyone. Great music, cute bartenders, and excellent happy hour.

I've written several reviews of the Alibi before, so one might think my opinions vary, but bars and restaurants change often, so my reviews reflect those updates. The Alibi is still the main gay bar in Wilton Manors and Fort Lauderdale. Most tourists, seasonal visitors, and local gays make a point to stop in. In fact, their liquor sales reportedly equal all other area bars combined. Their food, especially the burgers like the Champ and Knock Out, are top-notch. The Fort Lauderdale Burger Cook Off judges agreed, awarding both first place. However, the Alibi has cut back on a few items that made them unique among gay bars with food. The chicken wings are now smaller, less plump and juicy. The Monday flat iron steak is often unavailable, and when it is, it's smaller. No more top-tier meal nights like Florida stone crab or lobster. So, while I still think the Alibi is really good, I can no longer say it's an unbeatable spot.

The food is excellent for lunch; I've never tried dinner. Cute bartenders, a fun crowd, great happy hour, but expect long lines and strong drinks.

“cool place”
There is always a decent crowd. Thursday Long Island Iced Tea night is a great time to visit. The staff is wonderful, always pleasant and friendly. I have never experienced bad service or attitude. The food is surprisingly good for a gay bar. The clientele is mixed but cool.
