With three bars and daily events, it's hard not to love City Side. While this lounge is most popular among locals as an easy-going spot with a comfortable patio, drink specials, and Top 40 music, guests can't stop talking about the great staff and the welcoming atmosphere.

Tampa’s gay Cheers
Friendly bartenders. Strong drinks. Good karaoke nights on Wed & Sat. Darts & video bowling tournaments Tues & Thurs. Trivia on Thurs too. Several TVs with videos & sports.

Very nice bar with outdoor patio
Well maintained bar. Upscale aesthetics albeit a bit boxy on the inside. Had a very large, nice patio with another bar. People seemed nice. Crowd was approaching middle age but not skanky. Only negative is that smoking is allowed in the bar. Also, the bar is a bit isolated from anything else that's gay themed. Not much around that would otherwise be a destination. Conservative, preppy 44 yo gay traveler here. Felt very comfortable.
Memories of the Jungle still live on :)
I remember this location that "City Side" took over when it was formerly called "The Jungle," and it was the very first bar I came to when I arrived in Tampa in 1998. Its just as Chic, and Metro as it was 15 years ago. Nice little game room in the back bar area, nice back patio for cookouts and events. Still a fun place to stop by :) * * *
