1 year ago Not explicitly a lesbian/queer bar, it's super friendly and main local queers call it home. With a mix of queers, quirky Hampdenites, and old blue collar regulars, Mel's is a great dive to grab cheap drinks or a classy cocktail mixed by one of the owners or other bartenders. Pull up a seat before they fill up. Maybe you'll meet one of the five dog regulars (your dogs are not allowed - only but so much space, and they're strangers. They can get a treat outside tho) - awesome music - cute bartenders - fun crowd - total dive - low-key vibe
