3 months ago Owner and bartenders are nice. The place is clean. However, go any two weekends and you will see a lot of the same people there. It’s very cliquish. Just moved here and not impressed with the crowd. They act like small town people. It’s rather sad.

The 2nd Saturday of ever month, the red lions leather club host a fetish night with tons of sexy guys and a really fun atmosphere that is very accepting and the crowd usually fits in the 25-65 age range, during the other nights it's a very relaxed homey kinda bar with great people and music.

Flex is the Best -

The laid-back gay bar of Raleigh, you can really be yourself here and not worry about the pretty boys judging you. Mostly a bear bar. Thursdays hosts the BEST (trailer park) drag show in raleigh complete with raffled prizes and a good mixed crowd. Saturdays are bear theme parties, Sun & Mon are Raleigh's best Karaoke (it's won recognition, yep).

Hard to meet people by yourself

Went a few weeks ago on a Sunday night. Kinda dead. No cover that night. Some cute guys, but everyone had small groups around the bar and I was by myself. Couple looks, but nothing major. Guys drop their pants and show underwear at times. Kinda blah. The bar is cool, cute bartenders and good drink specials. Looking to go to the Carolina Bear Group Night on Saturday the 5th, but would like to meetup with someone to go with. Definitely a place to check out on a busier night usually Thursday, Friday and Saturday. ;o) * * *
