Named after the phrase “light in the loafers”, which in the mid-twentieth century was an insult lodged against effeminate gay men, Loafers aims to be a space that celebrates queer people and history. Loafers transports patrons to a time when the gay community was finding its footing amidst the backdrop of post-war Brooklyn. The bar is adorned with vintage decor, eclectic charm, plush seating, and soft lighting, creating an intimate atmosphere, perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic evening.
