About

Bar: Full barBest nights: Mon, Fri, Sat

The lights are low, the crowd is mixed, and the vibe lands somewhere between casual and trying-to-be-swanky. Atlas Social Club is a Hell's Kitchen spot that bills itself as a celebrity hotspot, though reviews suggest it leans more dive bar with upscale pretensions. The 2-for-1 happy hour draws a lively after-work and weekend crowd, and bartenders are generally friendly.

"In reality, it's more of a dive bar that puts on a pretentious upscale front for no reason."

It's open until 4am on Fridays and Saturdays, with outdoor seating when weather cooperates. The Yelp rating sits at 2.6/5, so temper expectations; regulars come for the deal, not the polish. If you're nearby, Please Don't Tell offers a very different cocktail experience a short walk away.

Located in Hell's Kitchen, a bustling Manhattan neighborhood known for its theater district dining and nightlife.

“Cute atmosphere but overpriced and stuffy”

I like Atlas Social overall, but it tries too hard to seem fancy. In reality, it's more of a dive bar that puts on a pretentious upscale front for no reason. Occasionally the dancers seem unaware it's a gay bar. On the positive side, the bartenders are nice and the happy hour is excellent.

Terrible experience. The bartenders have bad attitudes. I went for my birthday because a friend recommended the 2-for-1 deal, but they ended the special 20 minutes early and were rude when I mentioned it was my birthday.

“east village vibe with lousy bar tenders”

The atmosphere was pleasant until the robotic staff spoiled it.
