Hopping Multi-Level Mixed-Crowd Club
I revisited Axis on 3/4/22 and paid the $10 cover charge, and $9.00 for a rum and coke (with cheap rum.) To the left of the entrance lobby is a lounge area with diner type seating. The lobby opens on a small area with a bar, and behind that on a raised tier is a second bar with tables and barstools. Beyond this is a moderately large dance floor with a big stage opposite the raised tier. A DJ booth is to the left of the stage. The third floor has balconies left and right overlooking the dance floor, and there is also a smoking patio outside. The place was crowded with a mixed crowd and lots of club kids. It was really busy and I waited almost 10 min. to place a drink order. Also there were only a few hot guys there and drinks were on the pricey side. So I'm not sure if I would go back again. \*\*\*\*\*\*\* I was at Axis nightclub on Sat. night, 3/7/09. This is a multi-level club with two bars. There were quite a few hot guys there, some shirtless, a few quite buff, :p and it looked like a pretty mixed crowd with some women and a few straight-seeming guys. The dance floor was pretty crowded, but the music was great! They have a stage you can dance on that is also used for theater productions. I will def. be going back next time I am in Columbus. - easy parking - fun crowd - long lines
