About
Imagine your granny's cabin suddenly became the "it" bar in town, and you've conjured up the Doug Fir. The food is a good ole diner with a hearty Northwestern twist and the sound system was built for loud guitars. It's not all queer all the time, but it is full of young Portlandites more likely to judge you for your fashion sense than your sexual preference. Doug Fir is a great place to check out Portland's ever-expanding indie music scene.

Awesome
Great food, drinks and service. Always a good venue to go with friends.
Best Place ever
I stayed in the Jupiter and every night there was always a party going on at the Doug Fir. I was kinda iffy about going to check it out because in Cali we dont get too many mixed bars, but once there my whole attitude changed. A lot of towns need to take lesson for Portland, its the place to be. Doug Fir don't change
great!
their are really cute hotties in this bar. great music and good looking people. Somethimes the drinks can be pricey.
Great Place
Not only does Doug Fir have great shows, but the upstairs restaurant and bar offers up some great food and drinks. The outdoor patio is the place to be, and the crowd is a typical 20-30 something mix of Portland's finest (hipsters, yippies, etc). Not a specifically gay location, but just like so many other places in Portland, the queers are everywhere.
