Sparky's Delight

My partner and I travel to San Antonio at least once a year, but have never ventured outside the Riverwalk. Bored with the same ol', we decided we wanted something beside Bonham. After reading several reviews, I thought this would be the place to at least start. We weren't disappointed. We only left when it was time for some grub to soak up the alcohol. The bartenders are friendly and the layout is roomy with a bar on the patio. I hate to drive when I am drinking, so we decided to take public transit from the Riverwalk. The bus stopped right at the bar. SCORE!! A cab back to the hotel was only $10 (public transit doesn't run that late). We really enjoyed ourselves. We are going back to San Antonio again this coming weekend and plan to hit Sparky's again! You should too!!

An SA Gay Pub Must See!

This pub is definitely within my top 3 gay places in S.A.. Sparky's is clean and nicely set up. They play awesome music, but there is no dance floor. But, that doesn't stop most people from enjoying themselves. Weekends it gets packed, so arrive a little earlier. Weekdays not so much. Great place to meet out of town guests or any friends for that matter. I love Sparky's!

I went there duing Fiesta and it seems to have turned to a mostly lesbian bar. Nothing against lesbians but if I wanted to hang with them I'd go to a lesbian bar, oops, that's Sparky's! SA needs some MEN's bars! Another Fiesta and man this place is LESBO city * * *
