Hi there! My name is Matt DeMichele, and I'm the owner and sole proprietor of Shadow & Trees Massage Therapy. I've been a licensed massage therapist (LMT) since 2007 when I opened Shadow & Trees. From early in my career as an LMT, I found that I had knack in working with clients living with chronic pain and discomfort through the use of massage therapy. I practice a variety of pain-relieve massage modalities, including deep tissue and myofascial release, and moreover, I have received advanced training in orthopedic assessment--a systematic approach to evaluating clients for soft tissue-related problems--that promotes a more effective usage of session time, honing in on the origins and/or causes of pain, as opposed to chasing the symptoms. It's with joy that I announce Shadow & Trees' move to Park Road in West Hartford, Connecticut from our previous location in Hartford.
We are a comprehensive massage therapy office currently in Newington, CT specializing in range-of-motion problems, pain relief, and stress reduction. Specific massage modalities include deep tissue, myofascial release, orthopedic and sports massage as well as swedish massage and prenatal massage.
