Pulse Memorial in Hudson River Park
About
Unveiled during New York City Pride in 2018, the monument is a series of nine modified boulders set in a circular pattern located on the Greenwich Village stretch of the park. The memorial features views of Christopher Street pier and the Statue of Liberty, two inspirations for the equality movement. The monument honors the 49 victims of the Pulse shooting in Orlando in June 2016 as well as Greenwich Village’s LGBTQ history.
