Another Kimpton gem. Beautiful, modern, trendy hotel in Gaslamp. A little pricey but worth it.

From the weekend pool parties in this lux Gaslight District hotel, to the mostly gay concierge staff who met needs as varying as the best breakfast place to calling a local tux shop to stay open so we could get the right cumberband/bow ties for our cruise, our stay at Se was C'est magnifique. You'll be ushered into the hotel via a rough-hewn wooden & metal door the size of a large movie screen, perfectly hinged to allow for entry ease. The interior of the lobby is unlike any lobby you'll encounter, with an eclectic mix of materials and textures that invite you to leave your cares behind... a beautiful blend of old world charm with new world elan. The rooms are appointed with comfort and taste in mind, providing ample space to entertain friends either newly-met at the pool, or locals stopping over to dine either at one of the nearby culinary treats, or Se Hotel's own Suite & Tender, a twist on the American Bistro featuring bold flavor profiles and very reasonable pricing.
