Solamar is a beautiful luxury hotel well located in the Gaslamp District. The popular poolside bar is a great place to unwind, as is the "living room" common area where coffee is served every morning and wine every evening. Room service is available around the clock from the Jsix Restaurant, and the hotel is very pet-friendly.

This hotel is awesome. Wonderful atmosphere and attention to its clientele. The decode is fabulous and I couldn't ask for a more comfortable bed. It's no Ritz so don't expect champaign at check in but it's pretty awesome none the less. - 1/2 star for no hot bell-boys, no champaign at check in, price point is a little high, and room layout could use some advise from the guys up in Hillcrest.
