It's no value...it's not gay friendly... my partner and I arrived to room with a view of the parking lot...the charges are endless....
straight family friendly
This is a beautiful historic hotel with great access to the ocean, but the positives stop there. While this hotel is IGLTA approved, the clientele are far from what would be expected at a gay friendly resort, it is primarily straight families with small very loud small children and teens.If you are looking for a relaxing resort getaway in the Keys with your partner this is NOT the place. The hotel is very well appointed, but the patrons put the ambiance on the same plane as a Holiday Inn resort. The staff is friendly but you will get strange looks and comments from the patrons. My advice would be to stay at a gay resort or spend the extra for one of the more upscale resorts in the area, don't be fooled by the Waldorf branding.
