Best Dressed Madame
This hotel is so gay friendly, they have a BEST DRESSED MADAME contest every year! It was hilarious, and fun, and friendly. It honors May Baily, the owner of the Bordello that used to be on the site in the late 1800's. She ran "lewd and abandoned" women according to the license on the wall! Very appropriate, and this place is only a block away from Bourbon Street - making it close but serene! Well worth the money!
Great Place
.......to stay, at least it was in 2003 or 2008 when I was there. Since then I have been involved in parking in the garage. The staff never fails to be very gracious and accommadating. Very GLBT friendly. Also addressing me by the correct pronoun when dressed.
