old stand by
harrahs is one of those names that breathes las vegas. its not fabulous but they offer average to above average restaurants and gambling experience. just enough new orleans theme to give you that sense of a vegas make believe vacation without overdoing it (like excalibur unfortunately).
Eating out.
The food was just amazing. Haven't stayed in the hotel, but the dining is one of the best.
Middle of strip
Great location, in it's hey day it was one of the top hotels, now bypassed by properties that are far grander. We have stayed here numerous times, the rooms are adequate, the casino could use an overhaul to have better ventilation. We had our best win here so we always come back here to gamble just in case our luck returns.
