About
Chelsea Pines Inn is located in a five story walk-up row house that was built as a private home in the 1850s. In the heart of gay New York, each room is dedicated to famous gay icons: all guest rooms and common areas are decorated with original film posters from the Golden Age of Hollywood. Each room features 300 thread-count luxury linens and Gilchrist & Soames bath amenities.
From the Owner
A native New Yorker, Jay has worn many hats during his adult life: employee benefits manager, choral singer and fundraiser (13 years with the NYC Gay Men's Chorus), concert and theatrical producer, and most significantly, proud owner of Chelsea Pines Inn for nearly 25 years. He has served on the Board of Directors of SAGE (Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders), a New York-based agency that provides social services, education and advocacy for our elderly community. Recently, Jay has also worked with the New York City LGBT Community Services Center on projects celebrating its 25th Anniversary including producing the benefit 'Broadway Backwards'. An inveterate theatergoer, film buff and world traveler, Jay has shared his passion for film posters by decorating the entire building with vintage posters. Nearly 300 posters from his extensive collection grace the hallways and guest rooms.
In the city center, Chelsea Pines Inn is in New York's Greenwich Village neighborhood, an area with good shopping. Chelsea Market and 5th Avenue are worth checking out if shopping is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore The High Line Park and Washington Square Park. Check out an event or a game at Madison Square Garden, and consider making time for Central Park Zoo, a top attraction not to be missed. Our guests appreciate the hotel's central and quiet location for the sightseeing. It's also convenient to public transportation: 8 Av. Station (W 14th St.) is just steps away.

hi
Hi sexy stud how are you
Great hotel on 14th Street
I discovered Chelsea Pines Inn several years ago - and since then it's become my "home away from home" in New York. From the wonderfully decorated rooms (with posters of old movies), to the amazingly generous breakfast (including daily loaves of incredible tea-bread made by the owner), to the garden patio in back - this place is a total success. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, summer or winter - the staff is VERY helpful and friendly... there's a business-room with computers and printer, so I don't have to drag my laptop to New York if I'm only going for a short visit... the location is fantastic (right above the West Village, and at the edge of Chelsea, with the 8th Avenue subway right up the block)... The Chelsea Pines even puts out its own daily "newspaper", with upcoming activities in the neighborhood, and suggestions for touristing and shopping (including the spectacular High Line Park, which is only a block and a half away). I used to live in New York - and love going back there. And now the Chelsea Pines Inn is one of the things I look forward to most, when I do go back. Because the whole place is so comfortable, and the staff so welcoming, it really does feel like
Cute, hip little B&B
LOVED this place. Cute and well decorated with an Old Hollywood theme. We had the Paul Newman room which was fabulous, with a hot, shirtless picture of Paul in his 20's in the bathroom! The inn was quiet and close to everything in chelsea...such a cute area. Loved the bed as well, and the shower was so unique and nice. I would totally stay here again. Friendly staff as well.
pride please
This is my favorite spot in town. If you're coming to New York, check it out! It's cozy, sweet, and the best location in NYC.
love this place!
Can you find Judy Garland (lol) The front desk boy is so sweet and cute (anyone know his email? lol) I will definitely stay here again. :-) * * *
