The Maritime Hotel is located in the heart of the Chelsea art world and just two blocks from the burgeoning Meatpacking District. Set in a soaring modern tower of white ceramic tile and porthole windows on Ninth Avenue between 16th and 17th Streets (originally built in 1966 as headquarters for the Maritime Union).

Very Different; Nice; Great Location
The Hotel is very nice and the rooms are designed to resemble cruise ship rooms. They are a bit small but are very nice. The staff was wonderful and there is a great patio restaurant attached. In the basement is one of the best sushi places I have been.
