About
A Castro institution, Orphan Andy's fills up when the bars close. American diner fare 24/7 keeps the mo's coming back to this greasy spoon.

Home favorites Galore!
There are at least 15 things I order from this expansive menu! The patty melt being one of my favorites! The onion rings and fried chicken are right behind! The breakfast can’t be beat either! Oh those crispy Hashbrowns….
late night diner
Reminds me of the closed melrose diner in Chicago. Located in Castro. Restaurant is place where you can get a meal after you've been drinking all night in bars. Typical diner fare such as burgers, sandwiches, and salads. Large portions, reasonable prices, and eclectic crowd.
I love Orphan Andy's
I remember one of the waiters considered all of the crew to be the lost boy (of Peter Pan fame). I'm old enough to actually remember Andy's Donuts on Castro Street. Really good diner food and a great place to eat st.
monte christo with fries!
It can be busy or dead, the vagaries of a 24/7 eatery. The food is pretty basic but good. Been going for years, and like the business during the day, the waitstaff and food varies a little but it's more regularly high quality. IMHO a must- try in the Castro.
Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs
is to DIE for and is the best in the city. * * *
