nice place to go if you're feelin' low!
Equal grounds is hip, lively and accepting of everybody. Two large rooms, changing artwork on the walls, funky atmosphere. This is a good place to go if you're feeling low and just want to see and hear people around you. The coffee is watery, but it seems that's true all over rochester--odd for a city with so many italians. There are a few tables outside on South Avenue. 666 bar, which is mixed and has a similar friendly hip vibe, is a block and a half north on south. You can walk south on south to the highland park arboretum if you feel energetic.
great place to relax with friends
great, low-key neighborhood coffee house to meet up with friends and hang out. Don't drink coffee, but LOVE the pomegranete-grape concoction with whipped cream.
My favorite coffee house
This place has great customer service and a great atmosphere. Great coffee and frappes. I recommend it.
