Poverello is a 2-part organization: the thrift store sells clothes, furniture, and bric-a-brac to raise money for its food bank, which gives food to HIV+ people who are having money problems. Excellent organization--and you can score some fun finds in that store.

huge inventory and great prices
This is probably the best thrift I've ever been to. Less emphasis on clothing and more on "stuff" and a huge collection of stuff and good prices. Just moved to the area and they had a lot of stuff to help get me started.
Top fashion at basement prices
Yeah, it's used, but where else can buy a pair if 501's for about $15! I even found shirts unworn, still bearing store tags. Profits go to a very good cause-food bank in back, unlike some if the other big name thrifts in the Manors.
