Big Blue Marble prides itself for having "diverse books for diverse readers." The cozy bookstore has surprisingly large children and LGBTQ+ sections. Books of all kinds are packed onto wooden shelves. Upstairs, patrons can enjoy reading on a couch while the outside world moves on.

We are an Indie bookstore opened in 2005 in the Mt. Airy Village business district in Northwest Philadelphia. We believe in providing diverse books for our diverse community and specialize in: literary fiction, LGBTQ books for kids, teens, and adults, African-American studies, contemporary poetry, feminist and POC SciFi & Fantasy, and Jewish studies. Also we have great sidelines of unique cards, journals, natural toys, puzzles, and other interesting kid's gifts.
