THE place for LGBT arts
The place has been around for over 30 years and still has it. Great selection of ongoing programs, plus queer-centered HOT! Festival every summer.

Downtown New York's Laboratory Theater
Dixon Place has been a haven for LGBT artists working in theater, dance, music, and literature for 25 years. The quirky and inclusive organization even produces their famous HOT! Festival of Queer Performance every summer and its the longest running such festival in the world. There's always an emerging artist on the brim of success here - and they've just moved into a brand new theater and lounge on the Lower East Side! Check out their constantly evolving calendar of performances, art exhibits, and special events! Lily Tomlin even did a surprise show here!
