One of Broadway's more intimate houses, the John Golden Theatre was originally built in 1927 as the Theatre Masque, part of a three-theater complex that also included the Royale and Majestic. Designed for serious dramas, it was renamed in 1937 after producer John Golden. Recent productions include The Normal Heart and Avenue Q. Located near Times Square, it's a beloved venue for LGBTQ+ theatergoers.
