This 1927 Broadway house was originally built as The Erlanger by theatrical syndicate co-founder Abraham L. Erlanger, on the site of the original Sardi's restaurant. After Erlanger's death, the Astor family took over and renamed it the St. James Theatre. Recent productions here include American Idiot and The Producers. It's a classic midtown venue for major Broadway shows.
