About
Upscale Manhattan dining meets Mom's kitchen at this comfy, no-attitude eatery. Treat yourself to a stack of chocolate chip pancakes after a night of bar hopping in the village!
From the Owner
Taso left his career in the tech industry to open up his cafe in 1995, and he's never looked back! With his family's support, he's been running his restaurant the way he likes all these years, and he loves getting to meet new guests and catch up with longtime regulars every day.
Cafe classics, like fresh coffee, French toast, burgers, and omelettes are all served with a side of history in our West Village eatery. Our building was a speakeasy during Prohibition, but these days it's a family-owned restaurant named for our favorite Marilyn Monroe film. We love getting to know the artists, families, and new faces that come into our place every day for a bubbly brunch, lunch with friends, or a quiet dinner. No matter how frequently they stop in, they're always welcome, and we'll always serve them a fresh meal and warm service.

Best pace to be in West Village
I was here with my friend last night. I had the pan seared grouper, and my friend had the Skate, both plates were outstanding. The fish was very fresh and delicious. The service was friendly and very attentive. This is a cute liitle place in the village with outdoor sitting.
