Located just steps from the popular South Street Seaport, chef Surbhi Sahni first launched TAGMO as an Indian mithai confectionary company. The full-service restaurant followed, with a kitchen that employs primarily women and queer folks. Sahni’s menu draws inspiration from regional homestyle cuisine, with dozens of dishes at various spice levels for all to enjoy.

TAGMO is an intimate mithai shop, catering and events space by award-winning chef Surbhi Sahni. Our seasonal mithai collections are available online or in-store by appointment with gluten-free, nut-free and vegan options. Chef Surbhi’s catering menus highlight lesser-known regions of India with fresh, slow-cooked and vegetable-forward cuisines. Our brick-and-mortar space is located along the cobblestone streets of New York City’s historic Seaport District in the heart of Manhattan’s Financial District. Our space is available for events from cocktail parties and pop-ups to holiday dinners and wedding receptions. We offer a range of rental packages that include food, beverages and event staff add-ons.
